Valuheart Heartworm tablets for Dogs, containing the active ingredient Ivermectin, offer a monthly solution for the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs.

Directions for Use

Administer Valuheart once a month throughout the year to prevent heartworm disease. The dosage is determined by the dog's weight:

  • Up to 10 kg: 60 mcg - 1 tablet from the blue pack
  • 11-20 kg: 120 mcg - 1 tablet from the green pack
  • 21-40 kg: 240 mcg - 1 tablet from the yellow pack
  • Dogs over 40 kg are given an appropriate combination of tablets.

Cautions

Valuheart should not be administered to puppies under 6 weeks of age. Avoid giving this medication to animals with a known allergy to Ivermectin. It's crucial to test for heartworm prior to initiating preventive therapy. If the dog hasn't been on Ivermectin for 6 months or less, start the medication and test after 6 months. This is because microfilariae, which mature in 6 months, might yield a positive test result.

Possible Side Effects

At the recommended dosage, Ivermectin rarely results in side effects. Valuheart is safe for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages (from 6 weeks). It's also suitable for small dogs irrespective of their weight, pregnant or breeding females, and stud dogs. Some dogs with high circulating microfilariae levels may experience transient diarrhoea post-treatment.

    I have used Valuheart for both my big dog and small dogs for several years. .I simply put it on top of and their food and they eat it right up. Works great as my pups get heartworm tested annually and they are always negative. Love this product.

    I have three rescue dogs from Oklahoma. Living in Florida, very important to keep them on heartworm medication all year, and this is a great savings for the same effective ingredients as the expensive medication from the vet or pet store! Will continue to use this, and recommend to all my friends!

    We have 3 rescue dogs and have been using Valuheart for years. It works just the same as Heartgard and others so why pay the higher price? Our dogs remain heartworm free with Valuheart.
