Denosyl for Small Dogs and Cats 90mg - 30 Tablets
Denosyl Tablets are indicated for dogs and cats with impaired liver functioning to aid liver detoxification mechanisms.
How does it work
Denosyl Tablets contain S-Adenosylmethionine which increases hepatocyte and erythrocyte glutathione levels. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that protects the liver from toxins and further cell destruction. Low liver glutathione concentrations are common in dogs and cats with decreased liver function. Administration of S-Adenosylmethionine may improve glutathione levels in liver cells to help maintain and protect liver function.
S-Adenosylmethionine may also be used in other areas of tissue oxidant injury and red blood cell fragility caused by certain toxins or drugs which are related to reductions in glutathione. Denosyl can protect liver cells from cell death and may be useful in cell regeneration. Denosyl has also been proven to improve bile duct function in cats.
Daily administration is based on 20 mg of S-adenosylmethionine/kg bodyweight. Because the (enteric coated) tablet must be kept intact to prevent destruction by stomach acid administration range is based on the nearest whole tablet.
Tablets (90 mg) for cats and small dogs. Up to 5.9 kg bodyweight: 1 tablet.
