Ingredients: SELAMECTIN, SAROLANER
How It Works:
- Selamectin and Sarolaner: These ingredients penetrate the skin and circulate in the bloodstream, starting to kill fleas within 6 hours and targeting ticks within 24 hours. They also prevent heartworm development and address ear mites and various worms.
- Flea Treatment and Prevention: Apply Revolution PLUS anytime throughout the year for both flea prevention and treatment. For existing flea infestations, the first dose kills adult fleas and prevents egg-laying. Note that environmental infestations may persist until pre-existing flea eggs mature.
- Tick Treatment and Control: Begin treatment anytime to protect against ticks such as Ixodes scapularis, Amblyomma maculatum, and Dermacentor variabilis. Monthly administration or starting a month before increased tick activity is recommended.
- Heartworm Prevention: Administer monthly starting a month after initial mosquito exposure and continue until a month after mosquito season ends. If a dose is missed, apply it immediately and resume monthly dosing to minimize the risk of heartworm development. Testing for heartworm is recommended 3-4 months after starting treatment, particularly for cats with an uncertain heartworm history.
- Ear Mite Treatment and Control: Apply topically once for ear mite treatment. Avoid application within the ear canal. Monthly applications can help control further infestations. Clean infested ears to remove debris if needed.
- Worm Treatment and Control: Use a one-time topical dose for treating roundworms and intestinal hookworms. Monthly applications can help prevent future infections.
