Heartgard Plus Chewables offer a delicious monthly treat that prevents heartworm disease while controlling roundworms and hookworms.

Benefits & Features:

  • Prevents heartworm disease by targeting tissue-stage heartworm larvae.
  • Controls and treats roundworms and hookworms.
  • Beef-flavored chew for easy, palatable administration.
  • Safe for puppies from 6 weeks of age, pregnant and breeding females.
  • Suitable for all dog breeds, including Collies.
  • Dosing recommendations for optimal safety and efficacy.

Directions for Use:

  • Administer once every month throughout the year.
  • For dogs up to 11 kg (25 lbs): Give 68mcg (1 tablet from the blue pack).
  • For dogs 11-22 kg (26-50 lbs): Give 136mcg (1 tablet from the green pack).
  • For dogs 22-44 kg (51-100 lbs): Give 272mcg (1 tablet from the brown pack).
  • Dogs over 44 kg (100 lbs): Require a combination of tablets.
  • Ensure your dog has a heartworm test before starting Heartgard.

Caution:

  • Avoid administering to dogs allergic to the ingredients.
  • If your dog hasn't been on ivermectin for up to 6 months, start the medication and test for heartworms after 6 months.

Possible Side Effects:

  • Rare side effects when used at recommended dosage.
  • Safe for all dog sizes and breeds, including puppies, pregnant females, and Collies.

  • Beware the early expiration dates!

    The product seems fine, but Sierra seems to be stock meds that are closer to their expiration dates, so you have to not buy more than you can use before they expire. I made the mistake of getting a year's worth of another productand the expiration date is only about 9-10 months out. With the Heartgard I managed to get a later date, but only by luck. That's why only 4 stars.

    Great price. Product does take about three weeks to be delivered so plan ahead. This is the second time I have ordered from Sierra pet meds and I am completely satisfied with their service.
